David Starr (Earth name)
History
Lar Gand was a Daxamite space explorer who got caught in a meteor storm. With his ship damaged, he crashed on Earth and was found by Superman. Suffering from amnesia, Lar didnt know his own name and Superman believed that Lar was a Kryptonian. Calling him "Mon-El", Superman helped Lar adapt to life on Earth under the alias of "David Starr". Lar Gand decided to join Superman as his sidekick Valor. During a mission together, Lar was shot with a lead bullet and was instantly poisoned. Superman learned that Lar was a Daxamite and therefore lethally allergic to lead. Lar recovered his memories while he convalesced in the Fortress of Solitude, and was prepared to die, when Superman decided to use an experimental procedure. Superman used the holographic intelligence known as the Eradicator program to fuse with Lar, making Lar part Kryptonian and curing him of his lead allergy. Now as the Eradicator, Lar must not only master his new powers but also keep the artificial Kryptonian intelligence from overwhelming his own personality.
